Chain keeps coming off chainring with 1x7 Tourney

I've recently started commuting along the canal in the UK and whenever I go too fast over a bump or cobbles the chain falls off the chainring. It's not a real 1 by chainring that stops the chain falling off, and I don't have a chain guide. Could my chain be stretched? Just wondering what could cause this. The bike is a b-twin tribal 100

I have consistently been the only person with a small bag on my back (snackos plus 3L of water) out of the dozens that show up for longer rides. Is it that weird to ride with a camel back if it’s not a race? Edit: IDK why people think it is a competence vs preference thing….I can ride one handed or no handed, it is just much preferred to not need to/putting the bottle back in the cage can be distracting

I was an avid cycling fan/wnthusiast and followed the sport actively during the 2000s and again between 2015-18. I lost track sine but am starting to get back on it. Was wondering if there's a site or infographic that shows the naming evolution of the world pro teams over the years; something that will help me see what the previous names of current teams are, or when they started, what happened to other teams that are no longer at play.

Hei! Im trying to cycle from budapest straight down to Bosnia on the EuroVelo6 trail. However i would rather get straight down to the sea than follow the danube to serbia. My bike is single gear tho, which means i cant really drive on a hilly terrain. Any tipps if there are flat routes to the sea or how i could fins them?

Hey hey, question is basically as the title says. I've quite a lot of days off left for this year and wanted to spend some of the time cycling. I am a beginner cyclist. I run a lot, I feel like some of the endurance from running transferred over to cycling. Any route recommendations? Any tips on how much mileage to aim for each day, how many rest days to take or at least plan for? KR

Hi Folks :) We're in beautiful Slowenia right now and need to go back to villach in Austria in a few days to catch our train home. We'd really like to stay with the river soca a bit longer, but the direct ride from bovec to kranjska Gora seems hard, but I'm kinda excited to give it a try. For the case of total exhaustion ;) would a slowenian bus driver take 2 cyclists with paniers with him? Maybe someone has some experience :) thanks in advance.

I hate to see the riders go down and it’s even more frustrating when you realize it was because someone wasn’t paying attention and had their phone out or something else(holding a sign for instance 🤦‍♂️). Not saying people shouldn’t take pictures or videos. But, come on man. We all know the riders are as thin as paper. When they fall something is bound to break. Protect the riders damnit

Team Jayco AlUla is using Giant bikes. As a proud and happy user of a Giant TCR machine myself, I am wondering why the team is mostly/only riding on Propel even on mountaineous stages, instead of a TCR which is said (and proven) to be more suitable for climbing.

Looking for insight into the Co-op ADV 1.1 touring bike.

Hey, I am looking to buy a commuting/touring bike with a pretty relaxed geometry. I was considering the Masi Giramondo, but I don't have a need for a bike that is super capable of off roading. I'm commuting 7 miles each way currently on a 2002/3 Specialized Allez Sport, which has been fine but wanting something a bit more rugged and happy to carry loads. If you all have other recommendations, I am lookkng to spend less than $2,000 for bike and front/rear racks new. So that kinda of eliminates the Surly Disc Trucker, and Kona Sutra. However willing to listen to any recommendations.

Hey folks - My shifters are stripped out and need to be replaced. Bike is effectively a single speed at the moment. Have tried cleaning and greasing which helped for a bit but it’s time. Any thoughts on what to search for on eBay? There’s so many parts and wondering a reco for brand / model that might be worth keeping an eye out for Also open to buying new. Had a shop quote a full conversion to gravel bike - with new derailleurs and drive train and all that. But I can’t afford it right now. Thanks for the insights.
