Ok so no big numbers obviously but im about 320 lbs. I used to be a big power lifter type but I hate how I could feel my cardiovascular system crapping out on me. I've been toying with the idea of a bike for the past year and a half and I finally bought one. I did a 7 mile Saturday but it was hilly and I definitely had to walk a bit. Was not expecting 5miles consecutive todah. Just a proud moment and hopping I can work up to 20 in the next couple months!

So I don't like conflicts and agressive behaviour in general and whenever I see angry cyclist videos I cringe, no matter who's at fault. Whatever the circumstances, I don't like seeing those cyclist tantrums. It's uncivilised and it creats a bad image. Well, today, after smashing my personal record on the local biggest climb, I was happily making my way back home when a motorist went for a left turn in front of me, totally cutting me off. I had plenty of time to react. But right after braking to a safe speed (he also eventually stopped) I instinctively gave him a big middle finger, then shouted something like " we really are invisible aren't we?" as I passed around his car. I calmed myself down 30 seconds later and instantly felt like a jerk for that middle finger. I really am very disappointed. Why the heck did my instincts make me act like an asshole? I rarely have problems in traffic because I obey the laws and don't ride like an entitled piece of shit. And even so, I'm still not able to manage conflicts as politely as I wish I could. Just needed to get the weight off my shoulders. Tl:dr: I feel bad for flipping some guy off in traffic, even though it was 100% his fault. I had bigger expectations from myself
