The awards will take place for the third time at the annual world cycling summit, Velo-city 2024 Ghent, on 18 June. Over the past months, momentum for cycling has continued to build, with new infrastructure being implemented all over the globe, new funding opportunities emerging, and cities, advocates, and industry alike pushing for progress.

From a 1943 Warner Bros postcard to a fan, a photo of a mustachioed Gig Young– star of the studio’s Howard Hawks-directed war film, Air Force — riding a bike. And he signed his name to the card. From the back of the card: “Personally autographed pictures of the star may be obtained from the stuio. The cost of printing, handling and postage is 10 cents for a 5×7 and 25 cents for an 8×10.”
