Das Rad ist wieder einmal weg und ihr füllt die Strafanzeige für die Polizei aus. Dabei wird euch gesagt, dass ihr doch mal auf eBay Kleinanzeigen gucken sollt. Manchmal tauchen die da ja auf. Beim durchscrollen der werbeverseuchten Website findet sich dann nichts. Die Suche ist sinnlos, da die meisten Anzeigen nur mit "Herrenrad" oder "Damenrad" betitelt sind und die Kategoriefilter sind meist auch nicht zuverlässig. Mir ging es genau so, nachdem mir letzten September (wie fast jedes Jahr) mal wieder das Rad entschwunden ist. Also habe ich mir geschworen Abhilfe zu schaffen. Also flugs die Bilder der Fahrräder auf Kleinanzeigen abgegriffen und eine KI trainiert die Eigenschaften von Fahrrädern erkennt. Kleine Webanwendung drumherum gestrickt, um die eingeordneten Anzeigen zu durchsuchen, und fertig. **Das ganze umsonst, werbefrei und ohne Tracking.** Die Anwendung ist noch nicht perfekt, enthält bis jetzt nur 600 Räder und ist noch auf englisch. Bis jetzt kann man nach Art des Fahrrads (Rad, Kinderrad, Lastenrad), Rahmentyp und Rahmenfarbe filtern. Hier kommt ihr ins Spiel: ihr könnt mir dabei helfen die Anwendung besser zu machen, indem ihr Alphatester werdet und eure Erfahrungen und Anmerkungen in meinen Fragebogen eintragt. Falls ihr mir noch mehr helfen wollt, dann benutzt den *Report Error-*Knopf und korrigiert was die KI falsch gemacht hat. Damit kann ich weiter trainieren und die KI noch genauer machen. Thought I would post this here regardless of how embarrassing it is to serve as a PSA... In anticipation of the spring season, I purchased brand new Shimano Ultegra pedals from Amazon a few months ago for a whopping $80(!!) off the LBS/official online re-seller price. The reviews were solid but an important thing to note is that they are reviews for the *product* and not the *seller* on Amazon. Me not knowing the prevalence of fake bike parts online gleefully ordered them. I took a quick look at them when they came in and everything seemed legit so I stored them away. Fast forward to last week and I'm taking my bike out of storage and heading to my LBS for a tuneup. While I'm there, I compare my pedals to the ones on display and notice a bunch of subtle differences between my pair and the one on display. Turns out mine were fake. I'm using this is as learning lesson never to buy bike parts or components from Amazon. Maybe it's a well known rule, but as a relatively new cyclist I had no idea. Don't buy bike parts from Amazon or other online marketplaces unless you know the seller is legit!!! Or better yet, just buy it from your LBS! Thanks for reading.

Motivated as fuck after my first proper ride on my new bike

tl;dr: Love cycling. Got a new bike and have condition for the first time in my life and I love it. Go look at the funny picture at the end. &#x200B; Got a [Canyon Endurace](https://i.imgur.com/U1KXqch.png) last week and I took it for a proper spin today. My first road bike. I've been using a bike for all my life but never had any endurance or power. I struggled and was sure that I'm just not genetically inclined to have those things. I'm 38yo at 90kg and 188cm. Just for reference. Last year I tried to improve time on my favorite route. 15km 350m elevation gain. Went at it every weekend in summer and never managed to get below 48 minutes. I've set my target at 40min and failed miserably. Whole year I haven't gained even one minute on my best time. Then fall came and my season ended. I was really sad an kinda accepted that gains aren't for me. But I decided to try and lose some weight and to help with indoor cycling. I read some things, watched a lot of videos and went at it. And for some time nothing happened but then it was amazing. First time seeing some real gains. I was training with power and I measured my FTP at 125W last year April. And it stayed at that until August. Then it went to 160W, then 170W, 200W before Christmas. Today was the final jump - to 255W. And my weight went from 102kg to 88kg. **The time I made on my "benchmark route" first try was 34min!** That was on Saturday. Today I went on a more serious climb that would be nearly impossible last year - 38km loop, 560m elevation and I easily beat most of my "sporty" friends Strava times. And I loved the whole time riding it! The most important thing that changed everything - training consistency and **going slow**. Last year I was in the red 2 minutes after leaving the front door. And stayed there. Now I learnt to ride with power that enables me to finish a route strong without burning out in the middle. In short **Polarized training** (80% z2, 20% z5+) really work for me. Stuff that helped me was Dylan Johnson and Road Cycling Academy youtube channels, [https://intervals.icu](https://intervals.icu), and HR strap and a powermeter. And I'm not done. I have tons of space for improvement. I will do my first metric and imperial century. I wanna hit some 1000m climbs and get as close as I can to 300W FTP and 3.2 W/kg, to set a time of 60min on Watopia's Alpe du Zwift (currently sitting at 80min). This last few will probably need more one season to reach. **Now to get to the reason I wrote this. Was 5 minutes from home, on a route I have rode countless times. I was tryna grab my water bottle whilst approaching a relatively sharp left (it was a bike trail exit with one of those pesky horizontal barricades), and thought I’d be able to manoeuvre it with one hand. Terrible decision. Was going like 15-20km/h and completely fked up the turn - pretty much did not steer at all. Worst part was that I completely froze when the realisation doomed upon me that I was gonna crash. I rely way too heavily on my back brakes, so I hesitated to use my front brake, and also kept my hands on the handlebars instead of cushioning the impact. Hence pretty much rammed my bike and then my face into a wooden fence head on. Now I’m stuck in the ER waiting for hours to see if I’ll need stitches for this bastard of a cut right above my lip. Days are dead… Really just drives home the saying that ‘most crashes happen close to home’. Hopefully my humiliating crash will keep you guys sharp and alert, and prevent similarly embarrassing crashes from happening! Stay safe!

Ich würde gerne eine Strecke von ca 100km zürücklegen und mein Rad mitnehmen (diese Strecke ist leider nicht fahrbar, weil nur Autobahn und keine sicheren Radwege. Zielort ist da schon besser, und von dort aus wollen wir "ausschwärmen") So "zuverlässig" und verstopft wie die DB ist, kann ich mir vorstellen, dass man nicht gerne sein Rad mit in den Zug nehmen will. Oder etwa doch? Wie macht ihr anderen Autolosen das?

Hallo, auf Grund der hohen Spritpreise fahre ich jetzt wieder jeden Tag meine 9 Km, also gesamt 18 Km pro Tag, auf Arbeit. Das mache ich jetzt seit 11 Arbeitstagen. Dazu kommt noch 1 mal die Woche Bouldern, wann auch gut Kraft aus den Beinen zieht. Dazu kommt noch die Arbeit von ca 8,75h jeden Tag in Schichten. Bevor das mit Corona los ging, bin ich relativ oft mit dem Rad auf Arbeit gefahren. Durch Kurzarbeit, schlechtes Wetter und eine Weiterbildung blieb das Radfahren etwas auf der Strecke. Aktuell hab ich das Problem, dass ich auf den Beinen einfach durch bin. Ich weiss sicherlich hängt es auch damit zusammen, dass wir gestern wieder Bouldern waren und ganz schön gepowert haben. Aber auch gestern waren die Beine vom Gefühl her schon durch. Hab ihr Tipps, wie ich wieder schnell auf den alten Trainingsstand komme? Einfach jeden Tag weiter fahren und es wird dann nach ein paar Wochen besser oder soll ich meinem Körper mal 2 Tage die Erholung gönnen und das Auto nutzen. Wobei mich das dann wieder ärgert.
