school is about 5.5k from our house, and I really want to start cycling because I spend 7 dollars on uber going and coming back and it totals to about 2k $ a year with 5 days a week. I also think that by making it a habit, I will be forced to exercise every day thus ensuring a healthy lifestyle compared to not exercising right now. thing is, the way to school is on a highway that has a side road. I live in Egypt and the roads are pretty crazy even on the side roads, so my parents said straight up no way because I will probably get hit on the first day. I'm not too concerned because the highway has a side slow road that I can cycle in ( here is a [representation](https://imgur.com/a/DwwM7dM)) so should I try to convince them or is this too dangerous
