New to road biking. Got a Domane a few weeks ago, which is my only bike, so I loaded up the Burley Moose rack on it so I can use the trailercycle, etc, with the kids. I was thinking biking is hard, but then I’m old and fat and slow, and averaging between 12 and 13 mph. Yesterday I realize the support bar for that stupid rack was pushing on my rear caliper brake and causing one of the pads to rub on the rim. Hard. I fixed it and the next ride averaged 14.5 mph. Felt like a lightning bolt by comparison. I realize that’s still slow, but I’m 40 and only started exercising in February, so I’m happy with it. Thought it was a funny story though.

Moinsen, habe in 2020 mir ein Cube Nuroad Pro FE aufgrund vieler Empfehlungen hier geholt und bin absolut super zufrieden damit. Bin allerdings in letzter Zeit sportlicher unterwegs (also Straße hauptsächlich) und trotz schmalerer Reifen ist das Cube natürlich für Rennen nicht das optimale Rad. Ich suche daher ein Rennrad mit folgenden Anforderungen: - optimalerweise um 2000€ max. - Rahmen 56cm - Carbon - Scheibenbremsen > Felgenbremsen - mind. Shimano 105 - lieferbar :) Ich suche eigentlich schon seit Monaten nach einem Rad mit diesen Anforderungen, aber sowohl bei Kleinanzeigen gebraucht als auch neu komme ich mit Budget und/oder Lieferbarkeit einfach nicht hin. Bin über jegliche Tipps dankbar!

Was tun gegen Gelenkschmerzen auf langen Toure

Hallo, ich (20m) habe vor eine 300+km-Tour zu machen. Dafür habe ich vor einiger Zeit eine 240km Probetour gemacht. Wie bei meinen anderen 200km+-Touren bekam ich bei Kilometer 180 unangenehme Schmerzen im rechten Fußgelenk. Alle anderen Gelenke liefen reibungslos. Es hat sich angefühlt, als wäre keine "Schmiere" mehr da und das Gelenk würde reiben. Es ist auch etwas angeschwollen. Nach einer Woch war alles wieder normal. Nun suche ich nach einer Salbe o.Ä., die hilft, dass dieser Schmerz verhindert oder behindert wird. Ibuprofen und andere starke Schmerzmittel möchte ich ungern verwenden, damit die im echten Notfall noch gut genug knallen. Welche Erfahrung mit der Problematik habt ihr und wie löst ihr sie? Vielen Dank aus Sachsen

Das würden wir sehr gern einmal ausprobieren, wie sich das fährt. Es gibt bei uns in der Nähe nur keinen Laden, in welchem man mal eine kleine Proberunde drehen könnte. Deswegen meine Frage hier: Kennt jemand jemanden hier vielleicht, der im Rhein-Main-Gebiet oder im weiteren auch Hessen so ein Fahrrad besitzt und uns mal eine Runde drehen lassen würde?
