I got hit by a car on a bicycle path… and I went for anot...

So I went out on a quick ride around the town during my lunch break. I was riding on a street with a non-separated cycling path. Traffic was low from my direction, only one car behind me and some cars from the opposite direction. One of them was turning left, but it was standing when I noticed it showing the turn signal. Then it all happened really quickly. The car started turning, I pulled on the brakes, started screaming. I still remember that drivers' face really close up... Closer than I would like to see other drivers. She stopped right on the cycling path and I managed to stop just enough to bump into here's Porsche SUV wheel and rolled over the front trunk out of inertia. It turned out the car behind me stopped to let some oncoming pedestrians pass and the Porsche driver didn't see me (although I was with literally two headlights, rolling at 20 kmh)... Eventually, it turned out her dog was choking to she was really in a hurry to a vet. Me and my bike were totally okay, I apologized for screaming at her and loughed it off (the dog was also fine, by the way). The driver behind me also came up and provided her contact details for any witness needs. Faith in humanity restored, haha. All of that being said... I went back to work... And then I went for another ride in the evening... Cause the last thing I want is overthinking this situation. I'll be even more careful next time, but if situations like these will stop us from cyclings, that's literally the end and nobody is better off.

So to start off, I haven’t ridden a bike in nearly 20 years. I’m 35, 6’1”, around 290lbs, and I need to get into better shape for my overall health. I tried going on walks, but due to prior issues with my feet that was causing more harm than good. I just got a $370 Mongoose bike from Academy last night ( https://www.academy.com/p/mongoose-mens-spire-275-in-21-speed-mountain-bike?sku=black-27-5 ), but I’m so out of touch with this stuff that doing some more reading today it looks like this might be a garbage “bike shaped object”??? I’m not wanting to go pro or scale steep mountains, I just need something decent for cardio that I can do without being laid up in bed for days afterwards. Should I feel embarrassed to ride around on a Mongoose as a fat schlub in my mid-30s?

Wie im Titel angekündigt. In der StVO habe ich zu diesen speziellen Fällen nichts finden können. Erstens: Darf man auf einem Schutzstreifen bei stockenden Verkehr rechts überholen? Hintergrund: Hier im Ort gibt es eine Straße, dort wurde ein Schutzstreifen aufgemalt (gestrichelte Linie und Fahrradpiktogramme). Am Ende der Straße ist ein Kreisverkehr. Es gibt bei erhöhtem Verkehrsaufkommen kein stop&go wie an einer Ampel, sondern vielmehr schleichenden bzw. stockenden Verkehr. Muss ich nun hinter den Kfz warten, auch wenn der Schutzstreifen frei ist? Oder gilt da schon Paragraph 5 Absatz 8 StVO? Zweitens: Parkende Autos auf einem Angebotsradweg, wie anzeigen? Ein Stück weiter gab es bis vor kurzem einen kombinierten Rad/Fußweg (Zeichen 241). Jetzt hat die Stadt das Zeichen 241 abmontiert und stattdessen 30km/h Schilder angebracht. Der Benutzungspflichtige Radweg wurde also aufgehoben. Die Infrastruktur ist jedoch noch vorhanden. Daher gilt es mMn als "Angebotsradweg", da auch noch die weißen Fahrradpiktogramme aufgemalt sind. Wie gut das funktioniert und wie sehr sich Autofahrer aufregen wenn man dort auf der Straße fährt kann sich ja jeder vorstellen. Jetzt parken dort auf diesem Angebotsradweg regelmäßig Autos. Illegal logischerweise. Kann man die genauso über weg.li anzeigen? Worunter läuft das dann? Parken auf dem Fußweg oder Parken auf einem unmarkierten Radweg? Vielen Dank.
