Ich mache gern und viel Sport wenn ich konkrete Ziele habe. Beispielsweise einen Halb/Marathon laufen, 200 oder 300 km am Stück Radfahren. Ist das Ziel erreicht kommt immer ein regelrechter Einbruch und ich lasse mich echt teilweise gehen. Es fehlt ein neues Ziel, wobei das natürlich größer sein sollte als vorherige Ziele, damit es interessant ist (und dem setzen die knirschenden Gelenke und das Zeitbudget teilweise langsam Grenzen). Bis ich da was neues gefunden habe, was mich motiviert vergeht aber gern mal etwas Zeit. Wie macht ihr das? Habt ihr ständig sportliche Ziele (vorgeplant), die euch motivieren? Schafft ihr regelmäßigen Sport auch ohne Ziele? Was macht ihr, nachdem ihr ein Ziel erreicht habt?

Hallo Liebe Radler von Reddit, da ich irgendwie nicht mitbekommen habe, dass einfach jeder gerade im Urlaub ist sitze ich jetzt zuhause und hatte vorhin eine wunderbar bescheuerte Idee. Warum nicht mit dem Rad morgen früh aus Hamburg nach Cuxhaven? Los gehen würde es in der nähe des Hamburger HBF, von hier aus geht es dann nach Teufelsbrück zur Fähre über die Elbe und danach entlang der Küste bis Cuxhaven. Die ganze strecke beträgt am ende um die 120-130 km und Google behauptet es sollte in unter 7 Stunden machbar sein. (Mit pausen und allem dauert es sicher näher an 9 bis 10 stunden) Zurück würde ich den Metronom nehmen. Nun zum bescheuerten Part: In der Vergangenheit habe ich bisher zwei mal Radtouren gemacht welche über 50 km länge hatten. Beide male bin ich mit meinem Bahnhofsfahrrad gefahren welches so viele Probleme hat, dass es einfacher wäre aufzuzählen was an dem Esel anständig Funktioniert. Aber es rollt und ich kann genau die 5 Gänge einstellen die ich im Alltag brauche. Ebenfalls ist das Bike im Alltag eigentlich ganz zuverlässig und hat mich bislang noch nicht im stich gelassen. Nur ist alles mechanische nicht gerade im besten zustand. Ebenfalls ist das Bike für mich eigentlich zu klein. Soweit funktioniert die Ergonomie nur die Handgelenke werden stärker belastet. Aber das war mir beim gebrauchtkauf egal da ich, nachdem mein altes Bike geklaut wurde, einfach nur ein günstiges Fahrrad haben wollte was ich am Bahnhof abstellen kann. Hab für den Esel auch nur 180 Euro bezahlt. (Bei dem Rad sind die anbauteile und die Fahrradtasche die ich dazubekommen habe wahrscheinlich mehr wert als als das Bike.) Nun Frage ich mich, ob es für mich und mein Rad eine gute Idee wäre eine solch lange Tour aufzunehmen oder ob ich mir eine Leichtete und Kürzere Tour suchen sollte. Reicht es aus genug Wasser, Essen und Notfallwerkzeug mitzunehmen um die Tour in einem Stück zu überstehen oder sollte ich mich zunächst an kürzeren Touren ausprobieren? Und ja ich Plane mir ein neues Rad zu kaufen (Soll ein Cyclecross Rad werden) nur ist dies aktuell Finanziell für mich nicht möglich. I've been fantasizing about cycling for weeks now, I kept imagining the places I could go to, the freedom of it all. So i got a bike now. Nothing fancy, it's a piece of crap really, but oh my... going uphill is hard. Like hard, hard. I went for a ride and I just barely got up a small hill and I was fuming. I felt like vomitting and passing out. I'm not a fit person by any means, the opposite really (quite overweight), but i didn't expect it to be so goddamn hard (i was in the right gear). I though I'd be able to get myself to the city without relying on others, but i'm not so sure about that anymore. The good news is that after this tiny hill I got up to, it's mostly downhill from there to the city. I reckon I should be able to get there quite easily. What terrifies me is the way back, which would be pretty much uphill the whole way. I don't think i'd make it. I'm pretty sure I'd die after the first mile. It's a lot of fun riding on a flat ground though. Too bad there isn't much of that around here. Well anyway... dreams crushed for now, but hopefully as I train more I'll be able to make it.

30 felt like cake, I just got into the zone. I think I’m gonna shoot for 50 and find a more flat route. I really want to see if I can break triple digits down the line. What helped me get to thirty was just refusing to sit down no matter what, whenever my legs were tired I’d just rest one leg at a time pedal all the way down and alternate until I’m good again. Anybody got anymore tips for extending my mileage?
