"Sorry, I didn't see you."

I'm dressed in neon yellow. I look like a giant banana on a bike. I have a very bright strobe up front and two flashing lights in the rear. And she didn't see me. She's sorry. I never assume a driver sees me and if I don't make eye contact with them, then I assume they didn't see me and will not stop. Such was the case today. But I was already in the intersection coming across the top of a T. She just drove into the intersection turning left and squeezed me off into the gravel. I yelled at her and raise my arm as if to say, WTF? She still didn't see me. She turned into a driveway down the road, so I turned in and told her she just missed hitting me. Hopefully she'll be more attentive next time. But probably not. /rant

Bastard driver could have killed me

I've been a road cyclist for over 35 years so I thought that I've endured every insult and seen every bone headed driver stunt. But yesterday was a new one for me. I was approaching a left turn. There was a car behind me but far enough behind that I had enough time to signal for and make the turn. I put out my arm to signal a left turn (my glove are hi-vis yellow) and start moving over for the turn. I've reached the turn and am just about commit to the turn when the driver comes blowing by ON MY LEFT!!! Bastard blew by me on the left just as I'm about to make the left turn. I couldn't believe it. I just don't get some people. &#x200B; But for every jerk, there are also courteous people. Later on in the ride on two separate occasions at 4 way traffic light intersections, commercial truck drivers stopped to let me make the turn.

I have two bikes, one with the "Promax" F1 hydraulic disc brakes in place of the Shimano disc set (due to product shortages). They have some big stopping power, and they're on my bad weather hybrid bike. My other bike has a set of Shimano 105 disc brakes and they feel great. Was looking at bike with Shimano 105 rim brakes, for dry road riding. After being spoiled by discs would these feel awful in comparison?

Hallo zusammen, ich fette regelmäßig die Kette von meinem Fahrrad. Dabei halte ich immer ein Tuch darunter bzw. um die Kette damit ich neben der Kette nicht meine Umgebung oder das Rad einsaue und sprühe los. Dabei komme ich mir immer sehr ungeschickt vor und Frage mich, ob es nicht eine bessere Möglichkeit gibt, das ganze effektiver und eleganter zu gestalten. Nach dem Prozedere sind auch meine Hände eklig, weil das Tuch auch nicht alles abhält und auch mein Rad oder der Boden bekommt was ab. An folgendes hatte ich gedacht: gibt es wie so eine kurze "Regenrinne" in klein, in der ich ein Tuch legen kann, das ganze halte ich unter bzw um die Kette und sprühe von oben drauf? Wisst ihr was ich damit meine? Oder wie macht ihr das ganze?
