I’m gonna planning to replace my old bike since I’ve grown out of it (I’m pretty sure it’s a mountain bike.) But I dunno what to get or what price range is good. For context: *Bike needs to be able to bike well in wet conditions (through puddles and handle roadside mud well) *Want the bike to be on the lighter side if possible *Since it’s for school, I’m wearing a backpack (though it’s not usually very bulky) *I really want to be able to sprint on this bike so I’m considering a drop bar (I noticed on my current bike sprinting isn’t comfortable. I think the gears aren’t high ebough cuz the pedals move way to fast with no resistance and the bar position isn’t right, although that maybe jus the bike’s too small) *btw I’ve considered a fixed gear bikes since I’ve heard they’re easier for swapping out handle bars, advice on if they’re any good on mud would be appreciated So essentaily, any Advice on what type of bike I should get (hybrid or mountain bike) and also what handle bars would be good (flat bar or drop-bar)?
