It's the only word I can use to describe the actions I saw this past weekend. On Saturday my family and me decided to do the Crater Lake Rim ride, this is an organized event for all riders as they close the East Rim to motor vehicles, you could ride the West Rim as well, but had to deal with traffic. This made for opposite riders on each side of the road. Now this isn't a race, nor any competition. They're were young children riding, older riders to your more experienced/well trained riders. During this ride you have extreme inclines and descents, on multiple occasions I saw riders hitting 40-5OMPH on the down hill portion. Which is fine, it's your propagative to ride that fast. What wasn't ok was when less comfortable riders would pull to the side or descend slowly there wasn't any "On your left, or fast riders approaching" it was "Move the fuck out of the way, you shit face." Another rider told an older woman who had cramping hands on a decent and pulled over to "go fuck herself" the worse though was a pair of young male riders while descending making fun of a larger woman struggling up a climb with the comment of "Did you see the pannis on her?" I have never been so embarrassed of a group sport in my life, I've always thought cycling was a community sport where people come together to enjoy this activity we love. Bringing down a rider for having the guts to get out there and better herself is shameful, and has no place in this community! If you were one of these riders I hope your proud of your actions, you took a fun ride and made it a horrible experience for others. 95% of the people I met were amazing and friendly, but it only takes a small bad apples to ruin someone's outlook!

Kürzlich fesselte ein luftiger Gepäckträger meinen Blick. Bislang kannte ich Gepäckträger, die am Rahmen befestigt sind und Gepäckträger, die quasi unterm Sattel schweben. Dass so ein „schwebender“ auch noch Streben haben kann, die bis zu den Felgen reichen, war mir neu. Ich hätte ihn gerne beladen bei fahrendem Rad gesehen!
