Jetzt wo die Tage wieder kürzer werden, hat wohl jeder wieder seine Lichter aus dem Schrank geholt. Nun ist mir dieses Jahr ein starker Trend zu blinkenden Lichtern aufgefallen, der mir so gar nicht gefällt. Manche haben da so starke Lichter und blinken in so einer Frequenz, dass ich das als extrem irritierend und störend empfinde. Außerdem frage ich mich ob das erlaubt ist? Ich meine, da braucht dir doch nur ein Epileptiker entgegen kommen und knockst den direkt aus damit. Bin ich da allein mit der Meinung? Was bringen diese Blinklichter?

Why no hi-viz tights? (rant)

Why does nobody make hi-viz riding or running tights? I even tried looking for women's stuff on the theory that stretch is stretch and a second winter layer worn over the primary chamois bibs/shorts/tights wouldn't need to be too anatomical, but still can't find something in a visible color. Sure, I get that what I wear on my upper body is more important, and maximize there. But it seems silly the leg stuff is available in black, black, and black. Please no dismissive comments about drivers - fact is, some colors show up better than others. When I lead group rides, I keep visually losing those who wear dark colors, even as I can easily count those in visible ones in my mirror, etc. And that's the perspective of someone who knows those dark-clad riders are supposed to be there and is actively searching for them, vs someone who might come around a curve and encounter them unexpectedly.
