For those details, you’ve got nearly 10,000 more words to go through. But what Suunto has done is seemingly turn the page from the pivot point of the Suunto Vertical this past spring, to a watch that’s more aligned with...

Not sure if this is the right place to write this post, but I wrote a post about a couple who gave me a ride. During the ride, we talked about where we worked, what we do, and I mentioned something like wanting to work for a tech company in the future and the girl said she can introduce some of her friends who is in the field. I said okay, and kind of forgot about the conversation. Then this week, the girl calls and asked if I wanted to meet up to talk more about her friends who are making money. I was a little confused, but said yeah because I thought this was going to be a more of getting to know each other type of thing, and I honestly didn't remember much what she said about her friends. We met at Starbucks and right after we greet each other, the girl starts talking about her friends, how they are always traveling and how they don't have to work and have a stable income. She mentioned things like "ongoing income" and "network marketing" and asked me a few questions like "How would you describe being financially independent", "Are you results driven or process driven", "From 1-5, rate your money and time from where you want to be in 10 years", and honestly, it felt almost like a job interview. I couldn't help but think how culty this felt. Obviously she was talking about making money, but she felt like a cult who was trying to convince me to join her church. I asked her how exactly are her friends making money, and she said it's hard to explain so she'd have to explain it next time. I asked her if there are any "fees" related to this and she said no. She said her friends wants to be selective in who they can help, blah blah blah, aaaaand she made it sound like she's already making a lot of money. She mentioned how some people are fine with making "average" amount of money and how it's good for her because we need those "average" people in order for her to make more money - which sounded like a savage tbh. In the end, she asked if I would like to meet up again and learn more about in detail how her friends are making money. She said there's no pressure, if you're happy with making average money, that's totally fine - which made me feel like one of those average people she mentioned previously. I would've said no if I met her on the street, but because she helped me out when we first met, I said yeah we can meet again next week. She even let me borrow her book "Who Moved My Cheese" and basically told me to read it before our next meet up. Now that I think of it, I shouldn't have accepted her invite... but... I just wanted to know what she's up to and why she's trying to help a complete stranger make a ton of money?? Btw, I'm a straight woman so my intention of meeting up with her was for a genuine friendship... I guess that's not happening. TL;DR - A couple gave me a ride home and we exchanged numbers. I met with one of them thinking this would be a friend meet up, but instead she talked about her friends who are making a lot of money and never has to work. She said she can teach me more in detail when we meet up again next time and let me borrow her book "Who Moved My Cheese". Wanted to know what she's up to and what this is about? If this is a scam (which is 99.99%), I'm going to be bummed because I really thought I was going to make a new friend with similar interest which is biking. Edit: I'll post this under /antiMLM. I've heard about the pyramid scheme but I thought it only applied to a cult - wait, I think this is one.
