Hey all, I've got a bit of a weird question, specifically for roadies. When riding on a generally uncrowded road, has anyone ever experienced an instance in which you'll be riding along for 10-20 mins with no vehicular traffic in sight, but then, in an instant, two vehicles travelling in opposite directions will cross paths nearly directly beside you? This occurs for me almost every time I ride my bike. I was wondering if there's some sort of mathematical/statistical principle that can explain this phenomenon. Thanks! TLDR: angry roadie wonders why cars pass him at most inconvenient times

The rare quadruple whammy

A whammy is when you take your ebike to work and realize you left the lights on for your entire shift so the battery dies a mile into your commute home. "Fine, I'll pedal home. Most of the hills were on the way here anyway." A double whammy is when you get a major headwind while now pedaling your heavy ebike with now no electric assist left. A triple whammy is when you get a flat tire. The crowning quadruple whammy that proves this ride just was not meant to be s when you get a second flat, and are now out of spare tubes. This is when you give up and call for a ride home. Just thought I'd share this streak of bad luck and laugh at my own misfortune. I suppose I should be glad it wasn't a quintuple whammy and I would find my phone was dead.

I've been on the trainer a lot recently, so only been going outside to ride about once per week due to the weather. The last few rides I've really been struggling! Man, it's like there's a headwind in every direction! I'm putting out average of 290 watts and averaging only 26 km/h! This is crazy! I must be super unlucky. Oh wait, somethings' gone wrong with the brake system, and my rear brake has been dragging the whole time. I'm an idiot. Time to bleed!
