Guten Tag liebe Leute, ich habe folgendes Problem: Ich hab letztens beim Radladen den Lonely Planets Radreiseführer für Europa gesehen, und mir den dann auch gekauft. Keine gute Idee für den Geldbeutel. Da sind ca. 80% der Routen nahezu unmöglich mit Zug und Fahrradstellplatz zu erreichen. Selbst sowas wie die Tour den Grandes Alpes war drei Monate im Vorraus zugtechnisch kaum zu kriegen. Geschweige denn für Sowas wie Sierra Nevada mit dem Rad, oder sowas wie Sardinien geht ja gar nicht. Heißt es gibt zwei Möglichkeiten. 1. Rad leihen 2. Rad mit dem Flieger mitnehmen Nummer 1 ist leider ein Problem, weil es a) schnell sehr teuer wird, b) oft nicht auf einen angepasst werden muss und c) musste gerade einen Thread erstellen weil ich Knieschmerzen af habe, weil in Marseille der einzige ordenltiche Radverleih einfach nur bis Größe L da hatte, und mir das zu klein war. All die Probleme kriegst du weg indem du einfach dein Rad mitnimmst. So teuer ist das gar nicht. Glaube Lufthansa sind 130€ pro Flug hin zurück, Condor sind 100€. Wenn man mal zehn Tage weg ist lohnt sich das halt tausendfach. Problem: Wie macht man das am sinnvollsten? Jede Möglichkeit klingt schlechter als die nächste. Beim Zugfahren (in DE) ist halt ultra easy. Du fährst von Zuhause mit dem Rad an den Bahnhof, stellst das Rad in den Zug, fährst in die andere Stadt, steigst aus, steigst aufs Rad, und fährst zum AirBnB. Glückseligkeit. Jetzt muss halt das Rad für Fliegen verpackt sein. Heißt es gibt zwei Möglichkeiten. - Eigener Fahrradkoffer. Hat die Vorteile, dass man es gut verpacken kann, weißt wie mans macht, Rad ist soweit sicher und gut geschützt, und man muss sich im Vorfeld keinen Stress machen. Nachteile: Sind relativ teuer, und vor allem, man muss sie dann halt zum und vom Flughafen schleppen. Heißt man kann nicht einfach aufs Rad sitzen und zum Flughafen fahren, gerade mit bisschen mehr Gepäck kann das übelst stressig werden. Falls man mit S-Bahn fährt geht es vllt noch, in Marseille gabs allerdings nur n Bus, und dann ists halt auch iwie scheiße. Ist also gut für Fahrrad zuhause und am AirBnB verpacken/auspacken, und nicht am Flughafen. - N Karton beim Radladen organisieren, und da das Rad rein verpacken. Vorteile: Günstig, und man kann es am Ankunftsflughafen direkt da lassen und mit dem Rad losfahren. Je nachdem wo der Flughafen liegt ist das halt gut oder super nervig. Nachteil ist Rad ist nicht so gut geschützt, man muss zwei mal pro Reise was organisieren, und eigentlich hat man das Problem des zum Flughafen kommens gar nicht gelöst. Habe ich noch was vergessen? Gibts an Flughäfen Verpackungsmöglichkeiten? Gibst sonst Möglichkeiten die ich noch nicht kenne? Was sind denn eure Erfahrungen? Macht ihr sowas öfters? Habt ihr mehrere Dinge probiert, worauf habt ihr euch eingestellt?

Hallo liebe Community, ich habe ein kleines Problem und möchte zuerst kurz erklären warum. Ich bin 25 Jahre alt und übergewichtig. Ich wiege aktuell ca 120kg und bin grundsätzlich schnell außer Atem. Ich bin allerdings trotzdem sehr sportlich. Ich gehe regelmäßig Bouldern und performe hier trotz meines Gewichtes sehr gut. Vor 2 Jahren habe ich mir ein E-MTB gekauft. Ich wusste wenn ich ein Bio-Bike nehme werde ich zwei mal fahren und es dann gefrustet weg legen. Dank dem E-Antrieb habe ich meine Liebe zum Radfahren aber halten können. Ich kann nun entspannt Fahrten bis 90km stecke hinter mir lassen und habe insgesamt 3000km in 2 Jahren auf das Rad gebracht. Ich möchte allerdings am liebsten weg vom E-MTB. Rennräder lächeln mich grundsätzlich schon sehr an, aber meine Wegstrecke ins Büro hat auch kurze Schotterpassagen. Ich suche also etwas das ein wenig leichter und flotter ist, meinem Gewicht dennoch stand hält und auch ein zwei unebenheiten im Boden aushält (Man bedenke das ein Schlagloch mit 120kg einen anderen Impact auf das Rad hat wie wenn ich nur 60kg wiegen würde) Wo würdet ihr mich am ehesten sehen? Gibt es auch Renn oder Gravelräder mit einem kleinen "notfall" Motor wenn der Berg doch mal ausserhalb meiner Kraft liegt? Vielen Dank für eure Hilfe!

Can someone explain the attraction of fast ebikes Vs just...

I bike for exercise but there are times, especially in headwinds when I am totally wasted that I wish I had an ebike to help me get home that would feel like cheating. Recently I've seen some really cool ebikes that can do 60 mph! Lol! And more that do 30-40 mph. And people are riding these on the street with cars. And as cool as some of these bikes are are, they are often very expensive. Some of them even look like and are modeled after motorcycles and dirt bikes. So my question is: If you're going to drop thousands of dollars and try to *look* like a motorcycle, ride *with* cars on the street *and* go that fast where you should be wearing full gear...why not just get a motorcycle??? o_O Makes no sense to me to drop $5k on a bicycle and go 40-60 mph but NOT have the safety/capability of a motorcycle/gear, but that's just me. Same for off road...why not a dirt bike if you really want to fly and do enduro/crusty demons of dirt shit? Personally, if I'm dropping that kind of money I'm gonna get a motorcycle or at least a scooter, both of which are dangerous enough but at least they are designed to go 60 mph...lol. But maybe I am missing something. EDIT: Thanks for the feedback/input. For the record, I think they are cool, especially for an assist when dead tired, it's just that for the people wanting to go that fast and ride next to cars on the road, I will stick with a motorcycle and full gear. :)
