Bin knapp vor der 50, immer in der gleichen Stadt gewohnt, wenn auch ca. 10 Mal umgezogen. Niemals ein Auto gehabt, immer Bus gefahren. Fahrrad bin ich regelmäßig mal vor knapp 35 Jahren bei den Pfadfindern gefahren, dann wars aber auch vorbei, weil die Stadt und Umgebung topographisch relativ ungünstig gelegen ist.. heisst bergig wie s.. Seit knapp zwei Monaten habe ich nun ein eBike, primär angeschafft wegen nervigen Erlebnissen im ÖPNV und auch wachsenden Kleidergrössen (bitte keinen Krieg anfangen, ob eBikes zur Fitness beitragen..) Ich nutze das Rad mittlerweile für alles. Einkaufen, Job und auch zur Entspannung. Neben der zeitlichen Unabhängigheit, ist mir vor allem aufgefallen, dass ich seit dem Gegenden erkunde, die ich trotz lebenslangem Wohnsitz niemals gesehen habe. Ganze Stadtbezirke kannte ich vielleicht vom Namen, aber nie dort gewesen. Nun beschäftige ich mich ziemlich häufig mit Fragen, wie mich ich denn vom einen zum anderen Punkt möglichst ohne viel Verkehr bewegen kann. **Ich lerne meine Stadt komplett neu kennen!** Zeigt leider aber auch, wie schlecht meine Stadt von der Infrastruktur (für Radfahrer) aufgestellt ist.. Mal davon abgesehen, dass prinzipiell \*alle\*, Autos sowie Fußgänger, null auf Radfahrer(wege) achten. Da haben wir noch einiges vor uns. Finde es grossartig und erhellend zu gleich.. wenn auch nun Anderes nervt.. ^((Ansonsten ist noch anstrengend, mit wieviel Eqipmentfragen man sich rumschlagen muss...)) Mich würde interessieren, was Eure Erfahrungen sind / waren. Grüße

Among remedies offered will be * Cycle confidence courses * Adaptive cycle sessions * Access to bikes through cycle loans * Access to e-bikes through a loan initiative * Local bike banks * Cycle maintenance training * Walking groups Now I'm all for getting people fit and healthy through active lifestyle choices, but let's be honest here, the single biggest shift would be brought about by BUILDING SAFE INFRASTRUCTURE - if kids and regular folk were separated from fast moving cars and given direct, completely safe routes that went where they needed to go like shops and schools, then there would be an immediate benefit and shift. It would save them a lot of money on rapidly increasing fuel prices too. Habe vor 2 Tagen das hier gepostet: https://old.reddit.com/r/Fahrrad/comments/wvjo7o/habe_mein_geklautes_fahrrad_auf_ebaykleinanzeigen/ Konnte das Bike heute mit der Polizei wiederholen. Es ist alles gut gelaufen. Leider sind diverse Anbauteile (Rahmentasche, Handyhalterung, Faltschloss etc.) weg. Habe da wenig Hoffnung, aber hey... ich habe mein Fahrrad wieder!!! Der „Händler“ war sehr jung, und tat mir schon fast ein wenig leid. Er hat noch behauptet, dass er es ganz normal gekauft hätte. Geklaut wurde es mir 12 Tage, bevor seine Anzeige online ging. Auf jeden Fall hätte ich niemals damit gerechnet, das Bike wiederzusehen. Bin sehr froh und passe jetzt besser auf.

I usually ride my bike to work (45km round trip)I can't believe that I made the stupid decision to take public transit today. It was okay this morning and I actually got to work on time, which doesn't always happen with PT. But now I'm currently stuck on a bus heading to connect to a train, which will take me to another bus that will eventually get me home. Traffic is bad so the bus is moving like molasses and it's over 30°C plus humidity and the bus has NO air conditioning so we're all packed like sardines in an overheated tin can. Miserable. The worst part is that if I had taken my bike I'd be almost home by now. Public transit in Vancouver is awful and inefficient. Well...all I can do is get on my bike tomorrow.

Es ist immer schön zu sehen, wenn die Fahrradinfrastruktur verbessert, egal wo. Noch besser, wenn es glücklicherweise den eigenen Weg zur Arbeit betrifft. Frankfurt hat noch sehr viele unschöne Kreuzungen/Wege etc. (ihr erinnert euch evtl. an den Post vor 1-2 Tagen in der Schloßstraße), aber irgendwo muss man anfangen. Sehr wahrscheinlich wird diese Fahrradstraße auch wieder für Kraftwagen und sonstige mehrspurige Kraftfahrzeuge befahrbar sein, aber Dooringzone und neue rote Markierungen helfen schon etwas. Welche Behörde/Anlaufstelle wäre denn die passende, um (positives) Feedback oder auch auf verbesserungswürdige Kreuzungen hinzuweisen?
