It was a fundraising group ride and I committed to doing 20km. When we got back to the starting point it had only been 16km so I set off for another four. I wanted so bad to reach my goal... Previously I'd made it to 11km. I feel so proud! I weigh 285 lbs, formerly 370lbs. This is my first summer biking, and I've only done the 10-11km a couple of times. Weeee!

I was curious to know which people prefer and why Edit: thanks for the reminder about vibrations affecting phone cameras, sensors, etc I pay for my phones in cash every few years and I don’t intend on send them anymore money than I have to. I just ordered the garmin 130 edge plus, cadence monitor and heart rate monitor Edit: I saw the performance tracking is much better on the 530/830 so I’ll likely order either one. I just have to decide whether a touch screen is worth it Edit 2: I read a lot of posts and I actually will probably keep the 130+. What I like about it is that it is super light, smaller factor, gives connection to all of my accessories. I agree with a lot of people that if I want turn by turn directions ill just use my phone. All of the models have some delay once you see actual videos in use. I personally dont need turn directions as I generally use the same routes and I can navigate major points easier if I want to explore. Plus I did see some people complain about 530 menus being so in depth that you didnt even use half of the stuff it came with. I personally only want data and could care about directions since I am all about performance. I even read where 130+ was popular with the pros for all those reason above. You cant go wrong with either one but it all depends on what you want out of it and what’s more important to you. For me it was smaller size, half of the weight, and all 6 most important data points in a single page. I will also create custom pages for other less important stuff that I can see mid ride with a single click if I want to Cheers
