Had a discussion with my boyfriend the other day. He slowly starts to enjoy cycling and wants to stay fit during winter. That’s why he asked if he could use my bike/zwift setup. And this is where I am not sure how to feel. Yes I want to support him. But hell no, I don’t want you to use my zwift or bike. I suggested that he could use my trainer with his own account and own bike. Apart from it making no sense that he would use my bike as it’s fitted to my body - he can’t understand why I wouldn’t. So now, of course I wonder if I am the only one who would react like this? Edit: as a lot of you guys said of course lend it if it fits.. it doesn’t. My boyfriend is a lot taller than me so even with adjustments he’d have a poorly fitted bike. Plus he owns a bike he could just put on my trainer Edit: I wasn’t expecting that many replies! Thank you! I’ve decided to offer my zwift if he deletes his activities. I won’t share my bike as I spent a long time finding a perfect fit. He can put his own bike on my trainer if he wants to, as long as he puts my bike back.

My worst nightmare happened to me... I was on a two-way bike path and a municipality van was blocking opposite lane at the intersection. As I was passing in my lane an older pedestrian tried to cross the bike path from behind the van without looking. I was at the front of the van and she was at the back when I first saw her. I screamed so much and tried to swirl but she didn't even look at me and continued her path. I crashed into her really bad. I was going at a reasonable speed, the bike path traffic light was green, and there was no where else for me to go I was even aiming for the light post when I started swirling but I still crashed into her. When I managed to finally move I saw her on the floor, not moving and there was blood coming out of her... I really thought she was dead... i just stared at her in shock trying to understand what just happened and then just cried. but eventually first she started blinking, then she started talking, and she could move, i think the blood was from her nose. She became concious and didnt know what happened to her, but i remember she said she had pain in her shoulder. The paramedics came and they didn't rush to the take her to the hospital so maybe that's a good sign? The municipality employees didn't even bother, they just rushed to leave the scene. The cops ruled it as an incident, and he was kind enough to give me his number, and said to call him and he will give me an update on her without breaching confidentiality. Anyways, I am injured as well but mentally i am just traumatized, all I see is her face with the blood and I can't stop crying.. i keep thinking what else could i have done in that truck distance going at 18km/h...I love my bike but I don't know if I will be able to get on it again. Has anything similar happened to anyone and could they get over it eventually? Edit to add: I got in touch with the officer, unfortunately she is still in the hospital(been few days), he wouldn't provide too many details all he said is she doesn't need surgery... He told me that she said that she was also angry at the construction workers, not me.. I guess that is is a bit of relief. But it still hurts that i was involved in something that caused this much pain to someone.
