Thought I’d share here so you can all laugh along with me. I’m new to riding and starting to head into the wetter/colder months. I picked up cycling for fitness so wanted to keep the momentum going and not drop the habit. 3 weeks ago I picked up a smart trainer and have been having a bunch of fun slowly getting around on Zwift. I had a bit of time in my day before work so decided to go on a quick ride and beat a previous PR I’d set on a course. All was going well and with 300 meters left to the finish line I decided to sprint to the end - standing out of the saddle and changing gears while my unfit ass tried to give it the beans. With barely 50 meters to the finish line my chain came off as I shifted, I lost balance, and promptly toppled over the entire bike and trainer. You’ll be pleased to know I saved the bike by cushioning the fall with my nice soft and squishy elbow. One fractured radial head later and I’m off Zwift for the week. Can’t wait to get back into it and beat that PR finally. Anyone else broken anything in the comfort of their home? Just me?

Hab das Gefühl, dass die Kette nicht genug Spannung hat. Sie ist eigentlich noch nicht alt, ich schätze etwa 1000km. Schaltung ist auch gut eingestellt, der Freilauf ist auch in Ordnung, sowie die Rollen hinten an der Schaltung. Das Problem schränkt im Alltag natürlich kaum ein, aber ich stelle mir schon die Frage, ob das normal ist, und falls nicht, was ist hier die Vorgehensweise?

Ich schaue mich aktuell nach gebrauchten Teilen um und frage mich, wie ich die Kompatibilität von Shimano Teilen herleiten kann. Ich habe gelesen dass grundsätzlich erstmal alles mit der gleichen Anzahl Gänge zueinander passt, aber stimmt das auch für alte Modelle? Wenn ich z.b. ein 9-fach 105er Schaltwerk sehe, passt das zu allen 9er Kassetten, oder muss ich da auch auf die Anzahl Zähne achten? Und kann ich das dann z.b. auch mit einem 9er Deore Hebel schalten?

Helm mit gutem Verschlusssystem (u.A. einhändig zu öffnen)

Ich möchte mir einen neuen Helm zulegen. Von einem Bekannten ist mir ein Helm von Casco empfohlen worden. Ich konnte seinen Speedairo 2 mal in Ruhe anschauen und der ist wirklich klasse! Besonders der Verschlussmechanismus hat es mir angetan, auch wenn das nur ein kleines Detail ist. Ich überlege aber, ob MIPS nicht irgendwie doch sinnvoll ist (obwohl ich dieses aggressive Marketing von MIPS irgendwie zweifelhaft finde). Casco hat leider kein MIPS. Dann habe ich recherchiert und noch den Fidlock Verschlussmechanismus gefunden, der meines Wissens von Bell, KTM und Abus\* verbaut wird. Klingt vielversprechend. Habt ihr noch mehr Hersteller/Helme/Empfehlungen in dieser Richtung für mich? Mit "Richtung" meine ich alles, was ein bisschen cleverer als die simple Gurtschnalle ist. Ich würde ja zum lokalen Händler gehen, aber der Händler meines Vertrauens hat ausschließlich nur Specialized und die haben die Standard Gurtschnalle. ​ \*die sind bei mir aus bekannten Gründen raus
