How would somebody get into racing?

I think in a few months or maybe a year or so I'll have the legs to try amateur racing but I have no idea where to start. I'm sure that I'll probably end up last in any race and I don't know enough people for a team but I'd still like to try. I was going to post this on r/velo but I think that's for people who are already racing. I can hold 16-17 mph average solo for about 30-40 miles and faster in a nice group, still under 16 years old as well. I don't want this to come off as narcissistic or anything, I'm just curious how to get into cycling more "professionally". Thank you!
