Does anybody else find cycling incredibly positive for me...

Something about being alone on a quiet road where you can't hear a pin drop, the wind is blowing in your face and moving an efficient machine with the power of your own body mile after mile. Especially with "lock down" over the last few months, cycling for even an hour a day and feeling that has lifted my mood so much. I can't compare running or anything else to it, there's an aspect of freedom that comes with cycling I don't find with anything else. Sweating up the hills and coasting down them, as Hemingway put more eloquently than I ever could, is good for the soul, not to mention the exercise becomes a side effect of having fun. *It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and can coast down them.... Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motorcar only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.*
