A few years ago I handed down my 2007 Orbea with 10 speed Ultegra to my son. A few weeks ago, I let him ride my good bike while I rode the Orbea. I immediately felt terrible. The brakes needed new pads, and the shifters were very balky. Plus, the 10 speed wouldn't work on my trainer (meaning when the kid wants to use it, I adjust the seat post on my Pinarello). So, I found some new 105 r-7000 shifters and rear derailleur + new pads and cables. I've been doing more and more of my own repairs over the last few years, but never a new derailleur, shifters, cables and housing. I managed to install it all and have it running well. Not a huge accomplishment for lots of home mechanics, but I'm pretty pleased with myself today. So... please clap.

Trying to decide between a [trek domane SL5](https://www.trekbikes.com/us/en_US/bikes/road-bikes/performance-road-bikes/domane/domane-sl/domane-sl-5/p/35298/?colorCode=black) or the [endurace](https://www.canyon.com/en-us/road-bikes/endurance-bikes/endurace/cf-sl/endurace-cf-sl-8-disc/2963.html?dwvar_2963_pv_rahmenfarbe=GY%2FBK). I do a lot of road riding and triathlons but would like to eventually get into more adventure riding with some gravel type stuff. The endurace has better specs with Ultegra but I'm worried about quality and bike shop support in the future whereas Trek has incredible service and a shop semi-close to me. &amp;#x200B; Also, I can get the domane in large (58) or the endurace in XL (60). I'm 6'2 with around 37inch leg inner length. &amp;#x200B; Small nitpick. I like the look of the canyon more lol. &amp;#x200B; Does anyone ride either of these bikes and can provide advice/opinions?

I’ll start this by saying that I am a super amateur road biker. I basically only ride as a way to relax and just be by myself in nature. This evening I was biking in the Berkeley hills and a biker kept kind of trailing me, staying just behind me. I tried to pull over to the right to let him pass but he wouldn’t. At times he started passing me on my right but stopped. I started getting pretty stressed. Finally at the top of the hill he over took me and said “thanks for the tow.” I understand now that he was drafting but I kind of felt like it was a pretty stressful/ rude experience. I don’t know the etiquette in this situation, but I go biking to be left alone and I really didn’t enjoy this situation.

Liebe Radfahrer:innen! Ich wohne in der Stadt und bin bisher sehr froh, kein Auto zu brauchen (mit dem 10 Jahre alten City-Rad klappt bisher alles super). Würde sagen mein Fitness-level ist durchschnittlich+. Nun fange ich bald einen neuen Job an und muss folgende Strecke pendeln: Ca. 3km Rad - 50min Regionalbahn(immerhin ohne Umsteigen) - ca. 4km Rad. Wie das ganze machen? Meine Ideen bisher: - E-Roller kaufen (habe aber gehört die Teile sind zB im Winter super nervig) - Mit meinem Rad hier zum Bahnhof fahren und ein Leihrad (oder billo 08/15 Rad) am anderen Bahnhof stehen haben - ein Faltrad kaufen und in der Bahn mitnehmen (aktuell mein Favorit) (Ein extra Ticket für die Fahrradmitnahme will ich nicht kaufen. Außerddm ist mein Rad super schwer und es ist (ohne Corona) auch recht voll in der Bahn) Was sind eure Erfahrungen? Pendelt ihr selbst mit dem Rad/Bahn? Könnt ihr bestimmte Falträder empfehlen - bekommt man die generell gut und entspannt in einer vollen Bahn mit? Oder ist das super nervig? Macht ein e-Faltrad Sinn, um nicht verschwitzt im Büro anzukommen? Oder ist das bei der Strecke quatsch? Würde mich sehr über ein paar Anregungen freuen! PS: ich hoffe dieser SUB ist dafür passend - tut mir ansonsten leid! PPS: schönen Montag-Abend ;-) ‐---------------‐-------‐----------------------------‐ Nachtrag: Danke für die bisherigen Antworten! Das bestätigt mich darin, dass ein Faltrad auf alle Fälle sinnvoll wäre. E macht vermutlich wirklich nicht notwendig - also werde ich mich mal nach gewöhnlichen Falträdern umschauen. Wenn ihr da Empfehlungen habt (die nicht unbedingt vierstellig sind), würde ich mich freuen :-)
