I did my first century ride today and made what I thought was decent time. Not counting some breaks it took me around 7 hours and 40 minutes. On mile 104 on my way home I had a pinch flat, though. Though to be honest my route was on a bike trail with a lot of cover and favorable wind conditions, so I'm not sure if I could ever do it as an out-and-back on an open highway or as part of RAGBRAI.

Bei folgender Situation glaube ich manchmal ich bin Luft oder habe kein Recht am Verkehr Teil zu nehmen: Im Wohngebiet parken Autos auf einer Seite der Straße, ich fahre auf der anderen, freien Seite. Auto kommt entgegen und hält quasi einfach auf mich drauf anstatt zwischen den Autos anzuhalten, so wie es bei einem entgegen kommenden Auto passieren würde. Die 20 cm zwischen Gehweg und ihm müssen mir ja wohl ausreichen, oder ich soll wahrscheinlich gleich auf den Gehweg. Ausweichen muss jedenfalls ich, das Auto hat es jedenfalls nicht vor. Die gleiche Situation auf einer etwas breiteren Straße in der Nähe, da bekomme ich dann noch zusätzlich gestikulierend erklärt ich solle halt auf den Gehweg ausweichen anstatt auf der Straße zu fahren. Quasi wird direkt legitimiert warum man mich nicht ernst nimmt/ignoriert. Der Gehweg hat das "Rad frei" Zeichen, da fahre ich aber normal nicht weil schmal und zu viele Fußgänger. Ich habe mir nun vorgenommen einfach mittig auf meiner Spur zu fahren und Notfalls auf meine Vorfahrt zu bestehen, umfahren wird mich hoffentlich keiner, Tempo ist eher gering. Kennt ihr die Situationen auch und falls ja wie geht ihr damit um?

Man man sich, und alle, die hinterher fahren, bei leichtestem Regen super dreckig, und ganz ehlrlich, die 200 Gramm sind doch zu verkraften, oder? Oder is es nur Mode? Denn ganz viele Fahrräder werden auch schon so verkauft, oder irre ich mich da? Baut ihr das extra ab/hin? EDIT: Zusammenfassung, so wie ich das rauslese: * Paar Leute finden sie hässlich und werden lieber dreckig ("lol, what?" Aber okay, jeder wie er es mag :D) * Der Rest kann / will es nicht montieren, weil das Rad mehr ein Sportgerät als Fortbewegungsmittel ist, und eh nur bei gutem Wetter rausgeholt wird.
