UPDATE: TY so much to everyone who responded and took their time out to help me. I truly am grateful. After the finish line lube suggestion, I went back to my bike, applied a few drops in the keyhole and little bit more heavily on the top side. It took about 3 times and then it turned like butter, and seems to work flawlessly now, although I was tempted to stop at walmart and buy sandwich meat, i did not want to chance locking my bike up at that moment. I am so grateful to you all because I would have spent money in some way otherwise we I can't afford to lose. So thank you again. It's the cheap $20 walmart one. I had troubles getting it to open sometimes in the past but now key wont fully turn. Tried over hr. So now bike stranded. What are my cheapest options. My grandpa has electric saws. Ich habe ein Citybike, fahre damit auch hauptsächlich in der Stadt (ca. 6.000km/Jahr). Jetzt verabschiedet sich der erste Sattel so langsam (er zeigt Risse) und ich brauche einen neuen. Allerdings habe ich noch nie einen Sattel gekauft, daher stehe ich etwas ratlos da, wo ich da anfangen soll, welche Kriterien wichtig wären usw. Oder kauft man einfach denselben Sattel wieder und fertig? Danke schon mal für eure Ratschläge. :)

**Set up:** As I mentioned in my post, my equipment includes the Oculus Rift, The Google Earth VR App, and my exercise bike. I also have multiple fans blowing from various directions to address “sweating” in the headset. The faceguard on the headset is also removable for cleaning. I use google maps on my phone and computer to plan, navigate and plot my route. **Method:** I ride the stationary bike while wearing my VR goggles. I use a controller to manually advance the 360 photos and “steer” the bike in “street view”. Going up hill, I advance the pictures closer to the bike to approximate the slower pace of going up hill. Going down hill, I advance the pictures farther from the bike to approximate the speed of downhill biking. I manually adjust the tension level on the bike. While I certainly could adjust the tension for uphills and downhills, I’m not particularly going for realism, I’m doing this for exercise. I manually increase the tension as I ride, increasing until I reach the maximum tension I can endure and then I stay there… increasing bit by bit week after week. Basically, I’m riding “uphill” all the time. Advancing the 360 pictures is like a “rudimentary” flip book or video. Given the speed of a bicycle, it approximates movement. I have found the pictures to be higher resolution than 360 video, and less “motion sickness” inducing. I have averaged 10-22mph given the type of ride I am doing that day. I’m typically only riding 2-3 hours per day, sometimes less, given my busy schedule. **What I Like:** I’m really enjoying the immersive nature of this VR ride. It scratches a travel itch, without the cost of travel. I have some physical and medical issues that might make a ride like this virtually impossible for me…so I really enjoy the fact that I can take my time, and do this ride a couple of hours per day in smaller chunks, rather than pushing myself to complete it on a specific time table. I can ride any time, day or night and I have full climate control. I like the open nature of “Google Earth”. Unlike other apps that might require a specific program track, if I want to alter my course on the go… I can. I really enjoy some of the sites on my journey. There have been moments where I have stopped just to enjoy the view from a bridge, a local landmark, or an interesting looking building. Some interesting landmarks like Japanese Temples, Castles, Parks, Outdoor markets, etc. offer 360 tours through Google Street view as well…so as I’m riding through various cities I can stop and enjoy some of the tourist attractions along the way. Sometimes the “Street view” changes seasons while riding down the street… so it allows me to see spring or fall views of a village, rainy days, summer days…flowers blooming, etc. Although I’m not really riding, this trip has given me a mental map that really makes it feel as if I am actually biking across Japan. **What I Don’t Like:** Google Earth VR was not intended for this purpose. It can be glitchy. Sometimes the app fails to load or start properly, which can lead to frustrating delays. Navigation within Google maps can be difficult. It is hard to know where I am. It is like the old days before GPS. I have to actually look at a map to figure out where I am. I don’t read Japanese, so I typically stick to numbered highways, trying to avoid expressways as I would on a real ride. Google Maps can be finicky. I’ve had it stop working in the middle of a ride and refuse to advance the picture. I’ve had it unexpectedly teleport me from an overpass to the pedestrian tunnel under the overpass or to a side street near the overpass. Sometimes the view will alternate between opposite sides of a divided highway which can cause a bit of disorientation or break in the immersive nature of this journey. I have often been faced with either continuing to ride with a glitchy app, or resetting it while continuing to ride. Sometimes I will use the reset for a water break, quick snack or bathroom break. Conclusion: While it is certainly not without it’s glitches, the pros outweigh the cons for me anyway… and I’m continuing my goal to reach Northern Japan.

Servus, In Zukunft werde ich öfters am wochenende längere Touren mit meinem Rad machen wollen, unter der Woche will ich aber weiter zwiften. Meine Frage ist jetzt wie ich am billigsten beides machen kann. Ein Rad nur für zwift kaufen ist wahrscheinlich die einfachste aber teuerste Variante oder? Was denkt ihr würde es kosten wenn ich mir nur ein Hinterrad/Laufrad kaufe? Dafür bräuchte ich "nur" Zahnkranz, Nabe und Felge oder? Hinterradbremse wird ja nicht benötigt für den trainer. Original ist ein 29" Rad drauf (Cube ZX20 6061H 622x20) mit Hinterrad Nabe FH-TX505 und Kassette CD-HG500. 1. Kann ich die Nabe eigentlich mit der FH-M4050 ersetzen? Den einzigen Unterschied den ich gefunden habe ist die "QR Skewer Length" (würde dadurch nur 1x bestellen müssen statt von 2 verschiedenen Seiten) Nabe und Kasette sind relativ leicht zu bekommen (12.5€ für Nabe, 25€ für Kasette). 2. Die Felge finde ich aber nicht im Internet, wieso wird diese nirgendwo angeboten??? Ich finde nur irgendwelche Ersatzräder die nicht exakt passen (die auch alle andere Naben haben). Ist das egal welche Felge ich kaufe solang diese 29" groß ist und 135mm Breit? Selbst gebraucht finde ich da nichts originales. 3. Ist es theoretisch möglich dass ich mir ein DT Swiss 533 D Disc 29" kaufe und das Rad selber einspeiche? Speichen kosten nochmal ~10€ dann wäre ich bei rund 30€ für das Laufrad.
