Not as catastrophic as it sounds, but I rode 20 miles to pick up a new saddle bag from someone on Facebook marketplace. Just bought a new bike last week, and it's the first road bike I've ever had with disc brakes. The last mile of that ride was almost all downhill. Upon getting to the guy's house, I picked up the bag off of his porch, went to my bike, and bent down to attach it to the underside of my saddle. My shin touched my rear brake rotor and I now have a wicked burn mark. I guess it's a "duh" moment, but man, I never considered my brakes getting hot!

Leider öffnet es laut Internet erst um 6 Uhr. Ich habe also angerufen und gefragt, ob ich ein Fahrrad schon um viertel vor sechs unterstellen kann. Auskunft: das Parkhaus ist auf unbestimmte Zeit vollständig geschlossen.. UPDATE: Ok, es gab ein Missverständnis. Die Telefonnummer auf der Webseite führt zu einer Fahrradwerkstatt und die dachten, ich rufe wegen der Werkstatt an. Die Werkstatt im Parkhaus ist tatsächlich dauerhaft geschlossen. Ich habe nochmals später direkt die ABG (den Betreiber des Parkhauses) kontaktiert. Dort wurde mir folgendes sehr freundlich (!) mitgeteilt: 1. Das Parkhaus ist weiterhin geöffnet 2. Man kann vor 6 Uhr zum Nachteingang gehen und klingeln, dann öffnet die Zentrale und man kann das Fahrrad auch so früh schon einstellen. Die Zentrale ist 24/7 besetzt. 3. Man sollte Batterien ausbauen sowie Sättel abmontieren und mitnehmen und möglichst unter der Kamera parken - wobei das nicht viel helfen soll, geklaut wird im Zweifel eh. Nach der Anzeige wird das Material auch direkt auf Anfrage der Polizei weitergegeben, ob diese das aber auch verwenden kann ist unklar. Am besten nicht mit dem eBike kommen.

I was looking around at various bikes as I will need one in the next half year/year. I realized I had forgotten to take a look at Cube, so I went to their website, and lo and behold, I couldn't believe my eyes. Their agree race/endurance bike comes with carbon wheels, a high quality frame, and 12 Spd DA in a 7.3kg package all for 5.9k euro. That's ridiculous. Even Canyon can't compare. If I look at the Litening, they have an Ultegra 12spd bike with carbon wheels and everything for 4.9 thousand euro. Again, insane. So, what's the catch? Is it all just repainted Chinese carbon? Low quality carbon? Poor customer service? I'm really excited about these guys, but I have a feeling that nothing is this good a deal anymore.

Allrounder als Auto-Ersatz für 2.000 €

Hallo zusammen, bei mir steht bald ein Jobwechsel an welcher auch bedeutet dass ich keinen Dienstwagen mehr haben werde, und da privater Autobesitz mir zu teuer ist würde ich gerne etwas Geld in die Hand nehmen um mein Fahrrad + Zubehör zu upgraden. Aktuell fahre ich ein hardtail MTB von Raleigh aus den 90ern, welches mir auch ganz gut zusagt — aber bei längeren Touren ist die Geometrie leider nicht ganz passend für mich und es hat leider kein Licht, Gepäckträger etc. Mit dem neuen Rad möchte ich alle alltäglichen Fahrten erledigen (wohne nördlich von München und habe es relativ nah zum Supermarkt, Arzt, Bahnhof etc. also dürften die täglichen Strecken im Bereich von 5-20km liegen) aber auch ab und zu eine längere Tour (60-80km) machen. Daher ist mir eine eher gemütliche Sitzposition wichtig, wie ebenfalls gute Beleuchtung und Schutzbleche. Ein stabiles Gepäckträger hinten ist ebenfalls ein Muss. Mein aktuelles Fitnesslevel würde ich als mäßig bezeichnen, hoffe aber bald wieder deutlich fitter zu sein. Ich bin bis vor vier Jahren relativ intensiv Rennrad gefahren (200km Touren an einem Tag mehrmals absolviert), daher bin ich relativ zuversichtlich dass ein Fahrrad in meinem Fall das Auto zu 90% ersetzen wird. Das Budget von 2.000 € soll auch schon Taschen etc. beinhalten, für das Fahrrad an sich habe ich also etwa 1.500 € avisiert. Zwei Räder haben mich schon ziemlich beeindruckt (im Internet), das vsf T-100 Diamant Alivio sowie das Canyon Commuter 6.0. Dazu würde ich noch ganz klassisch ein paar Ortlieb Taschen (für Einkäufe) dazulegen und dürfte relativ zufrieden sein. Was sagt ihr? Welches von den zwei Bikes würdet ihr wählen, oder etwa was ganz anderes?

Ich bin ein Fan von schicken Trikots aber kein Fan von den Preisen. Für eine gute Radhose oder eine leichte, winddichte und wasserabweisende Jacke 100+€ zu bezahlen kann ich ja noch verkraften. Gefühlt ziehen mir aber Assos, Castelli, Biehler, usw... mein Geld aus der Tasche für Trikots die in der Produktion einen Bruchteil vom Verkaufspreis kosten. Hat jemand hier Erfahrungen mit guter Rennradkleidung gemacht die kein Vermögen kostet?
