Hi I'm having a hard time differentiating between what a gravel bike is vs what a road bike is. It also doesn't help that on some sites "gravel" is a sub category for road bikes. It seems to me the biggest difference is in tires. I'm considering spending a decent amount on a bike soon but just want to make sure I know what I'm buying. If I were to ride say 70% asphalt and 30% gravel/hiking trail, would a road bike be "good enough" to use on gravel and vice versa? Edit: thank you all so much! At about kilometre 30, I noticed my back started getting sore and I had to keep straightening it out to temporarily relieve it. Is there anything I can do to not have my back hurting until later in the ride?

Jo, title says it. Ich hab schon im Wald und auf Aussichtstürmen übernachtet, wenn das Wetter trocken war. Jetzt plane ich eine Tour durch Deutschland mit ein paar Nächten draußen, und mich interessiert, was ihr für Erfahrungen und Erlebnisse gemacht habt, und was ihr vielleicht für Tips habt!
